2012 Summer Voluntary PreKindergarten Program - Now Enrolling!

Get a Jump Start on VPK Summer 2012! Due to overwhelming success and program demand, both BMS and RMS will offer another exciting Summer VPK for 2012.

Voluntary Prekindergarten, or VPK gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. By developing the skills children need to become strong readers and students at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school. VPK classrooms offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers.

Enroll Your Child at The Brandon or The Riverview Montessori Schools Summer VPK Program!

Program details:

• Summer program is available from June 12, 2012 through August 2, 2012
• Program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon - Thur (There is no VPK on Fridays)
• The Summer program offers 300 instructional hours taught by Florida Certified Teachers
• Teacher-student ratios are maintained at Florida VPK standards of 1 to 12

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

• You must be a Florida resident Your child must turn 5 by September 1st and be entering Kindergarten in the Fall
• Your child must not have previously attended another VPK program

BMS & RMS Team Relay For Life is March 31st & April 1st - Mark your calendar and join us!

Our BMS & RMS Reason to Relay: This is our school's 5th year participating in Relay For Life!! Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. At the event on Sat. March 31st, our team will camp out overnight at Newsome High School and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone's life.

2011 BMS & RMS Team Relay For Life – Biggest Year Yet!

Thanks to the many supporters of this year’s Relay For Life, a special event to raise dollars and awareness to fight cancer. Our BMS & RMS Team achieved a record total of donations earning us the Bronze Level Award! The children collected over $600 in Classroom Coins; families, friends and teachers sponsored Team Members with donations and came to walk with us overnight; teachers baked goods to sell at the Relay event. We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support. Thank you so very much! See you next year!
